At the heart of the system is a 250 mm special corundum grinding wheel, which rotates at variable speeds (90 – 160 min⁻¹) and can operate in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions for added versatility. The wet grinding process, enhanced by a cooling water bath, prevents heat build-up that can compromise the hardness of your tools—preserving their integrity and extending their lifespan.
With an induction motor rated at 0.15 kW and built for quiet, low-vibration operation, the machine provides smooth and consistent sharpening performance. A removable leather honing wheel (200 mm diameter) allows for burr removal and final polishing, while the included stripping paste ensures a polished finish on every blade.
The extensive range of accessories makes the system adaptable to a wide variety of tools and techniques, even for beginners. Whether you’re sharpening small knives, large chef’s blades, scissors, or axes, dedicated jigs ensure optimal angle and control.
